I started twisting wrenches on bikes for a living in 1970 at rice grinder dealer in Starkville, Mississippi. In the late 70's, I twisted wrenches at an independent BMW shop in Austin, Texas. In 1977, I restored my first BMW, a 1964 R27. |

My wife is also a vintage BMW motorcycle entusiast and she's not afraid to get her hands greasy. We recently completed her 1968 R50. It won first place at Mid-Ohio Vintage motorcycle days in August, 1998 and first at the BMW Riders Association national rally in September. |
Since the early brush with vintage addiction, my condition worsened.
This is my 1939 Ford truck that I restored in 1991. In 2007, I restored the truck a second
time and still drive it to this day. |
